All of the numbers on this album, including "B Minor Waltz" dedicated to his late wife, the title track written by Michel Legrand, and the hard lyric "Peacocks," are supreme trio performances, fragile and beautiful. The last recording with Eddie Gomez, who was a member of the group for 11 years, and the last recording with the trio, featuring all-analog mastering from the original tapes by Kevin Gray in 2022.
