V2 Schneider, an unorthodox project from Bavaria, Germany that combines glam rock and electronics, has finally arrived in Japan. This 3-CD box set compiles a number of recordings left by V2 Schneider in the 1980s. The 3-CD set is a special Japan release of 66 pieces in a variety of styles, from danceable minimal beats following the format of Neue Deutsche Welle to ambient, dark wave, experimental noise, and acoustic works, compiled for each album released at the time. All songs are fully archived from the original master tapes, including previously unreleased sound sources, demo takes, and D.A.F. cover versions. The Japan release includes a detailed biography based on an interview with the artist, commentary on each piece, and a gorgeous booklet filled with photographs.
